Solène's adventures in solidarity

Sporty and driven by the desire to raise €12,000, the amount needed to save a child, Solène ran through eight countries in 2015! Through various races ranging from 10km to marathons, from Indonesia to Australia, the kilometers covered by the young woman were converted into euros thanks to the support of partner companies who believed in her.It was a resounding success for Solène, who, at only 23 years old, raised €12,700 through this project!

Solène, during the Half Marathon des Sables

Time passes, but Solène's determination remains intact. A few years later, in 2018, she suggested to SDA, the company she works for, that they organize a "heart day" during which all the steps taken by her sales advisor colleagues in the Duty Free shops at Roissy and Orly airports would be counted and converted into donations for the Association. SDA also covered the costs of an operation for little Fatoumata, originally from Niger, whom Solène had the joy of following throughout her healthcare journey in France.

Reenergized by this encounter, she put her running shoes back on and, accompanied by two colleagues, ran for charity in the Fuerteventura Sand Half Marathon. A 120 km trail run completed in four days, self-sufficient in food, in the desert. A feat that commands admiration!Solène could have stopped there, but that would be without counting on her boundless determination!

Her latest charity project: attempting the Peruvian version of this race. Supported by Pernod Ricard, and accessorized with small Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque wings Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque onto her backpack, she achieved the same feat as in Fuerteventura, facing the wind and under the blazing Peruvian sun.

With her head full of projects, Solène continues her involvement with children with heart conditions, and our little finger tells us that we haven't heard the last of her exploits. Well done, Solène, and thank you so much for everything you've achieved so far!
