Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque is a non-profit organization recognized under the French law of 1901 as being of general humanitarian interest, and is legally and fiscally authorized to receive donations, bequests and life insurance policies exempt from inheritance and transfer taxes.

The legacy
A bequest is a testamentary disposition enabling you to pass on, after your death, all or part of your assets subject to the rights of your heirs. A bequest is made by drawing up an authentic will drawn up by a notary, or by writing a holograph will entirely by hand on plain paper.

The donation
A donation is an act by which you pass on ownership of movable or immovable property during your lifetime, free of charge. You can make a donation to an individual or to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque. However, the assets donated must not exceed the share reserved for certain of your heirs. You benefit from an income tax reduction of up to 75% of the value of your gift.

Life insurance
Life insurance is a savings contract that allows you to build up capital for the beneficiary of your choice. The insurer undertakes to pay a lump sum or annuity to the policy beneficiary(ies) on the policyholder's death, or during his or her lifetime from a set date.
Amounts invested in a life insurance policy are not included in the assets taken into account when calculating inheritance tax.
To ensure that the Association benefits from your life insurance policy, all you have to do is register Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque as the beneficiary. You can do this through your bank or insurance company.
