Marathon de Paris 3 children saved and Over-motivated Coureurs du Cœur!
Running the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is a sporting feat. The Coureurs du Cœur have chosen to make it a feat of solidarity by raising a minimum of €420 each for children with heart disease and by wearing the Association's colors during the race on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
D-1: All gathered around Nolan
On the eve of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris, we were delighted to welcome some of this fine team of Coureurs du Coeur to the Association's offices in Paris. Over breakfast, these meetings gave rise to some wonderful moments of exchange, sharing and emotion when we met Nolan and his host family,a little boy from the DRC who was able to undergo heart surgery free of charge in France thanks to all the funds raised by Coureurs du Cœur.
We thought that 2 children could be operated on after the event, but on the day of the Marathon we were pleasantly surprised to receive additional donations and pass the €36,000 mark, which will enable a third little heart to be repaired!

D-Day: A double dose of motivation
On Sunday, 71 Coureurs du Cœur took to the starting line at Marathon de Paris. They all agree that running for children and giving their hearts to their marathon is a wonderful experience that goes beyond the physical effort. To thank them for their commitment and to encourage them, we were present at the 37th km. Accompanied by the volunteer Brazilian percussion group Batala, we made some noise to give them energy for the last few kilometers.
At D+1, we would like to congratulate our dear Coureurs du Cœur and thank them warmly for their generosity, motivation, spirit, good humor and solidarity. The world's children with heart attacks are very lucky to be able to count on these sportsmen and women with their big hearts!
