Challenge Compt'Cœur : 5 children saved
On Thursday 19 May 2022, our partner Happy Culture organised the second edition of the Compt'Cœur challenge. A double challenge, sporting and digital, which will allow us to operate on 5 children with heart disease.
At the foot of the famous staircase on the Montmartre hill in Paris,Happy Culture invited the public to take part in a meaningful challenge: make your heart beat for children by climbing the 200 steps of the grand staircase leading to the Sacré Coeur. For each ascent, our partner donated €100 to the association. Influencers, Koh-Lanta adventurers, athletes, host families and volunteers were on hand to enliven the challenge and encourage participants.
In glorious sunshine and to the sound of music, the public was made aware of the Association's cause through this challenge: climbing more than 200 steps, walking or running, causes breathlessness similar to that experienced daily by children suffering from heart disease, preventing them from eating properly, playing sports and sometimes even getting around.
Kanibatou and Mariam, two little girls recently operated on by the Association, were present along with their host families.
Just a few weeks ago, before her heart surgery, Mariam was too out of breath to walk more than 100 meters. The surgery she underwent has totally transformed her, and Mariam impressed us by climbing the stairs 10 times!!!!

In parallel with this sporting challenge, a digital challenge was launched. Happy Culture invited people who couldn't take part in the sporting challenge to get involved on their Instagram account by liking a post. For each like, €1 was donated to the Association.
A total of €70,000 was raised! This handsome sum will enable us to operate on 5 children with heart problems in the near future. Many thanks to Happy Culture for its generosity, and to all the participants!
