Welcome aboard Violette!
Revealed to the general public during the 2024-2025 Vendée Globe, Violette Dorange has established herself as a rising star in ocean racing. At just 24 years old, her experience is already widely recognized. Her authenticity, sincerity, and performance are universally acclaimed. After a year sailing alongside Samantha Davies, in 2026 she will take the helm of Initiatives-Cœur to challenge the oceans and save children!
How do we save children with the boat?
Since 2009, we have been saving children with heart conditions thanks to the generosity of the public and our sponsors.
During the races, all donations made by the public are then doubled by our sponsors!

Naylah guides Violette from the top of the mainsail.
Naylah is a little girl from the Democratic Republic of Congo who underwent surgery in 2018 and then again in 2021 to repair her heart. During her last visit, she had the chance to meet Sam Davies, the previous sailor, before she set off on the Transat Jacques Vabre 2021. A beautiful bond was formed between the girl and the sailor, who insisted that she become the face of her new boat: "When I'm alone at sea, Naylah's gaze is a great source of motivation."
She will now guide Violette in her navigations!
