During the mission to Djibouti, which took place from October 12 to 20, we were very happy to see 38 patients who had already been operated on as part of their medical follow-up.

Each day, the team met two types of patients in the consultation room: children waiting for a diagnosis, and others, already operated on, as part of their follow-up. Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque - Mission Cameroon

At Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, we carry out an average of 5 missions abroad per year, in the countries of origin of the children we care for. Due to the pandemic and the closure of borders, no mission could be carried out since the intervention of a team in Côte d'Ivoire at the end of 2019. And yet, the files of children with heart disease continue to arrive. After more than two years of waiting, we were finally able to send a team to Cameroon, a country that urgently needed to be visited.
