On Tuesday 14 December, the 2nd edition of the Gala du Cœur was held in the magnificent salons of the Automobile Club de France. During this charity dinner organised with the support of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a cheque for €252,000 was handed over to the Association in order to operate on 21 underprivileged children suffering from heart malformations in the near future.
When we saw the result we couldn't believe our eyes, but it's real... 20 children will be able to be cared for thanks to the event, a record!
Throughout the year 2021 we have been celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Association and the 3700 children cared for since its creation, so we couldn't have wished for a better way to close it in beauty.
On December 19th and 20th, the Association organized the Great Christmas Sale. This not-to-be-missed solidarity event at the end of the year raised funds to pay for the operation of 12 cardiac children around the world. A magnificent result obtained in unprecedented sanitary conditions and which comes to close in beauty a year 2020 which proved to be difficult for the cardiac children.
Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque We operate on children in 9 surgical centres throughout France (Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Angers, Nantes and Tours). In each of these cities, the regional referents are all volunteers and are essential links in our chain of solidarity.
Sourrazeh became the referent in Tours in 2011, a volunteer position for which she devotes a lot of time and energy with one goal in mind: to help children with heart disease who have undergone surgery in her region.
From Laos to Haiti to the Democratic Republic of Congo, 28 volunteer referrals in more than 20 countries give their time every day to help children with heart disease. As true ambassadors of the Association abroad, they act as a link between the children with heart disease and their families, and Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque to facilitate their arrival in France and their follow-up after their return.
François Babou, a faithful companion from Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaquethe very beginning, passed away on Thursday 5 March. On Saturday, December 21, 2019, the Association organized The Great Christmas Sale. Halfway between a Christmas market and an ephemeral department store, this not-to-be-missed end-of-year charity event raised funds to pay for the operation of 10 children with a heart condition and underprivileged children! A magnificent victory, the result of the work of a wonderful team of volunteers and the support of many partners!
When their teacher asked them to organize an event as part of their communication studies, Marie, Margaux, Ludivine, Anatole and Benoit immediately had the idea of holding an auction to benefit Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque! It was in second grade, at the Thibaut de Champagne high school in Provins, that Julie got to know Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque when one of our volunteers came to present the Association. Very moved by the cause and the children's journey, the 17-year-old girl has invested a lot of time as a volunteer to help them.
On December 22nd, we organized The Great Christmas Sale! 100% for the benefit of children with a heart condition, the proceeds from this exceptional event will allow 8 children with congenital heart disease to be operated on.
