A day of golf... and solidarity!
Individuals or professionals invited by their company, more than 270 golfers were present on April 26th to play two shot gun competitions on the red and blue courses of the Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche Golf Club.
In order to make the day unforgettable, the morning participants were treated to a pre-competition breakfast followed by lunch in the Club House and an awards ceremony. The afternoon participants also enjoyed a pre-competition lunch and a cocktail and prize-giving ceremony at sunset.
An army of "red ants" at the rendezvous
To coordinate this day we can count on about forty volunteers , always present, always helpful, always smiling. All dressed in red, they work all day long to set up, prepare, serve, respond, organise, tidy up, clean up... All in a joyful and family atmosphere. In 3 words: They are fantastic!
A visit from three little hearts
The Heart Trophy is first and foremost a solidarity event that allows us each year to offer heart children from around the world the possibility of having an operation in France. On the green, the players had the joy of meeting Leena (7 months, Cameroon), Jean-Marie (2 ½ years, Benin) and Abdoul (12 years, Senegal). All three had recently undergone heart surgery and were accompanied by their host families. These meetings with the players led to great exchanges with the participants who realised the concrete benefits of their participation.
A symbolic milestone has been reached!
The Trophée du Cœur is a historic event for the Association, and has been raising funds for child surgery for 25 years. This year we are very proud to have passed the symbolic milestone of 250 children saved thanks to this event!
We owe this magnificent result to the generosity of the participants but also to our loyal sponsors. Indeed, thanks to the Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche Golf Club, which opens its doors to us free of charge, and to the partners who provide the catering, production costs are limited and we can therefore devote almost all the proceeds from the event to the children.
