They put their heart into their marathon
Each of our Coureurs du Cœur took up a double challenge: sport and solidarity. In addition to surpassing themselves physically during the race, they obtained their solidarity number by collecting at least €800 in donations for the Association. Thanks to the commitment of these generous runners, more than €24,000 was raised, enough to pay for the operation of two children with heart defects!

Meeting Josiane and her foster mother
On the eve of the marathon, the Coureurs du Coeur were lucky enough to meet Josiane, an adorable little 18-month-old Burundian girl, who was successfully operated on in Paris thanks to their collections.
We invited them to the Association's offices for a friendly and emotional breakfast! It was an opportunity to thank them, to get to know each other, to exchange ideas between runners, to motivate each other and to prepare together for this great solidarity race. But above all it was an opportunity for them to realise, through Josiane's meeting, the scope of their commitment and the value of their sporting challenge.

Kilometre 41: solidarity above all!
At the end of their efforts, at kilometre 41, we were there to encourage our runners and make some noise: a festive atmosphere with Brazilian music and super motivated volunteers! This last "solidarity kilometre" was an additional opportunity for them to give everything and to surpass themselves for the children.
A huge thank you to this great team of Coureurs du Cœur and their donors for their sporting and solidarity commitment to the benefit of children with heart disease!
See you in 2023!
