The Family Day: a great day of reunion!

Every year at Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, we make a point of honouring host families during the "Family Day". A day to get together, meet and exchange ideas in a warm and friendly atmosphere!

The Association is 25 years old this year! On this occasion, we wanted to revisit the formula of the Family Day and mark the occasion to celebrate this anniversary together with the 3700 children taken care of since the creation of the Association.

On Sunday 5th September, in the beautiful setting of the Château des Côtes park*, host families, children, volunteers, doctors, regional referents,Aviation Without Borders couriers and our godmother Sam Davies, gathered around Pr Leca for a festive day. It was an opportunity for everyone to get together after many months without seeing each other.

What's on the agenda? Live music, summer sun, a great meal, meetings, exchanges... and a surprise reserved by Pr Leca: the launch of the 25 years Challenge! All the host families and volunteers have 25 days to take up the challenge of walking or running 25,000km. If the challenge is successful, a child's operation will be financed thanks to everyone's participation.

Although the event took place in the Ile-de-France region, we were still thinking of all the host families throughout France who were unable to make the trip.

A big thank you to all those present and to the teams of the Château des Côtes and the Charité Maternelle de Paris for their welcome.
